On behalf of Grassroots Sports Federation, I gladly wish to express my unreserved and profound appreciation to our supporters and well-wishers who stood by us to make the 3rd edition of this competition a success.
I remain ever grateful to our most valued benefactor and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Chief (Dr) Godswill Obot Akpabio for his friendly disposition towards youth development and empowerment. His able and reliable deputy, His Excellency Engr. Patrick Ekpotu, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. John Akpan Harry and the Director of Sports, Mr. Aniedi Dickson.
I can never forget invaluable contributions of the following corporate bodies, Anchor Insurance, Nigeria Medical Association, Bridge TV, A – Z TV, Akwa Ibom Democratic Voice, Ati Annang, Akwa Ibom State Youth Caucus, Jobase Global Resources, Continuity Advancement Group, Superfone and Akpakip Oro Youth Vanguard. The following media houses are also recognized, Silverbird Rhythm FM 93.7- Port Harcourt, The Compass, The Sun, The Punch, The Sensor, Community Pulse, The Pioneer, AKBC Radio and NTA, Uyo.
I also want to thank very immensely Ambassador John Fashanu for believing in us, his advice and encouragement. The contributions of match officials, committee members, players especially those from Benin, Togo and Ghana Republics are very much appreciated. And for extending the digital developmental strides of the Executive Governor to the grassroots, we say thank you to the Local Government Chairman of Mbo, Nsit Ibom, Oruk Anam and Udung Uko. Above all, I am eternally grateful to God Almighty for His Grace and protection granted all of us. May his mercy guarantee us safe journey back to our different destinations in Jesus name, Amen.
