The host team for this year's FIFA Under-17 World Cup, Nigeria's Golden Eaglets are expected to be back in the country on Friday brimming with confidence after undergoing a two-week training stint in Qatar ahead of the tournament.

Top team official, Garba Lawal, informed Goal.com that the team are rearing to go and are very confident they will successfully defend the World Cup they won two years ago in South Korea.

"The boys have really shown great improvement and commitment in the past few weeks, and with some luck, they will be world champions again," declared the former international.

The Eaglets will face Germany, Argentina and Honduras in the first round of the U-17 World Cup.

Stanley Okoro scored a brace in their third match in Qatar as they won 3-0 to further boost their confidence leading to their opening match on October 24 against Germany at the Abuja National Stadium.

Officials disclosed they play their final match in Qatar on Thursday before heading back to Nigeria the following day.
