Xavi: Barcelona Don't Get Tired Of Winning

The midfield maestro was happy to maintain winning momentum.
Xavi Hernandez emerged "very happy" from Barcelona's 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the Supercopa de Espana and admitted he was "very proud" to receive a standing ovation from the San Mames crowd.

Xavi was substituted by coach Pep Guardiola in the 81st minute and walked off to a rapturous applause from the Bilbao supporters.

"It's an honor for me because it is a wonderful audience and a fantastic stadium," Xavi told Marca.

He also said that the team are keen to maintain the winning mentality after the first-leg victory.
"We are happy, especially with the outcome. The team maintains the winning momentum and we don't get tired of winning," he added.

Xavi also said that Barca will continue to play the attacking game that the fans enjoy so much.
"We have the same coach, the same approach and we will play an offensive game that is attractive for supporters and for us," stated the Spain international.
