Fulham go into the weekend's opening fixture of the Premier League season away at Portsmouth boosted by the news that veteran Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has extended his stay at the club by another year.
The glovesman has signed a contract extension today that will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2011, according to the club's official website.
The Australian was ever-present between the sticks last season, and played a major roles in helping the Cottagers to their highest ever league finish of seventh and their qualification for the Europa League.His excellent performances also earned him the personal accolade of the club's Player of the Season award.
