BECKHAM SURE OF MILAN RETURN

David Beckham is adamant that he will return to AC Milan for a second loan spell in January.

The LA Galaxy player is keen to return to top-level European competition in a bid to improve his chances of selection in next year's World Cup squad.

The 34-year-old was originally left out of England manager Fabio Capello's plans but has returned to the side after his first spell in Serie A.
Now Beckham says that he will head back to the San Siro for another half-season at the club ahead of the 2010 finals in South Africa.

"It's simple; I want to return to Milan and Milan have said they would be happy to have me back," Beckham told Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"If it's all right with Milan and it's all right with me, I don't see what problems there could be. No, I don't think there'll be any problems and I think I'll return when the transfer market reopens in January."

Speculation had been building that the former Manchester United man could make a return to the Premier League after the New Year.

But Beckham was quick to quash those rumours, saying a reunion with former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, now at Chelsea, is not a possibility.
He added: "There's no danger of the destination changing, I was happy at Milan. I'd like to take things from where I left off in May."
